F1 is the 'golden' key
Help is truly at your fingertips!
- If you don't know any shortcuts at all in Windows, learn this one: F1
- Try it now. You are in a browser reading this article, I dare you, press F1.
- Up comes a help dialog, right?
- In IE7 it's the content and index search,
- in FireFox it's a FireFox Help window.
- on the Windows desktop it's the Windows help and support center,
- in Outlook it's Outlook Help and Office Online,
- and on it goes.
- For everyone: don't know how to do something? Press F1, find it and read up on it.
- For those who should know better (like myself), this is a reminder to press F1 more often... before all else fails!
