Wow, I've got a river otter...

... hunting or living (?) under my deck!

A healthy, beautifully slick, young otter. Of course I didn't have my camera at hand, as is usually the case, when I really need it... The black rascal came from under the porch, ran to towards the beach, hesitated and returned, disappearing under the porch. I hope it doesn't have a nest there, because the deck will soon be replaced...
