This weekend I met Asta...

... and fell in love with her!

Asta was the bonus. A new friend, while spending a splendid weekend with some very old friends. The kind that lift your spirit and just are around when you need them, or even when you don't.

Seeing the 'dazzling dozen' again. A reunion of a bunch of women who helped themselves and each other through some tough times. Haven't seen some of them for years.

Oh, and the food was to die for. Saturday, devine Japanese; Sunday, devine Birthday meal of dungeness crab and lemon cake; Monday, gourmet pot luck at an elegant table.

I'll be looking back to this weekend for a loooooooooooong time! :-)
